Time-shifted video interviews

We would like to get to know you better and have therefore decided to digitally support the application process with the time-delayed video interview. This process works as follows:

 

• We will send you an invitation to a time-shifted video interview via a link.

• You can record the video from the comfort of your own home at any time. All you need is a camera and microphone (cell phone or laptop) and you can re-record the video as many times as you want before saving.

• You save the video and we will forward the link to your potential employer.

We give tips for your perfect video interview and reveal how you can get the most out of it.

• Testing the technology: Test whether the webcam or mobile phone camera and microphone are working. Make sure that there is enough battery available so that the call does not break off in between. Regardless of which device you choose, make sure that the image section is well chosen, your head and shoulders should be clearly visible. A stable place is always preferable to holding it with your free hand because there is less interference from wobbling.

• Choose a suitable background: Set up your laptop or mobile phone so that a beautiful part of your apartment or a neutral background can be seen.

• Body language: choose a comfortable sitting position. Also, sit up straight to appear confident. When you are speaking, look straight at the camera and not at the screen.

• Correct clothing - dress code: A delayed video interview is an extended form of a personal interview. Dress as you would for an on-site interview. Avoid heavily patterned clothing. Most cameras have automatic brightness adjustments - so as not to confuse these, avoid completely black or completely white outfits.

• Eliminate Distractions: Make sure you are not disturbed by your roommates, children, or pets.
